Algerian Interior Minister Merad Welcomes French Counterpart Darmanin to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

ALGIERS- The Minister of the Interior, Local Assemblies, and Urban Planning, Brahim Merad, received Gérald Darmanin, the French Minister of the Interior, following his meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Sunday.
The Ministry of the Interior, in a press release, highlighted that this meeting was part of the scheduled discussions on bilateral cooperation between the Algerian and French Ministries of the Interior. Mr. Merad, accompanied by senior officials, welcomed Mr. Darmanin and his high-level delegation.
The press release emphasized that the meeting served as a valuable opportunity to enhance collaboration between the two sectors. Key issues of mutual interest were addressed, with the participation of the ministry’s secretary general, senior officials, the Algerian ambassador to France, and the director general of national security.
