ALGIERS- In a notable recognition of journalistic excellence, Algerian media group, Dzair Tube, received the Media Leadership Award from the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Laâgab. The award serves as a testament to Dzair Tube’s commitment to quality journalism and its outstanding contributions to the national media landscape.
Dzair Tube secured this accolade in light of its unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality content within its specialized field. The recognition affirms the media group’s position as a trailblazer in the Algerian media industry, setting the standard for excellence.
The award, presented in celebration of National Press Day on October 22nd, to Dzair Tube alongside other prominent digital media outlets, is aimed to highlight the crucial role played by media entities in shaping public discourse and fostering informed citizenry.
Dzair Tube, a leading news platform, has carved its place among the foremost Algerian digital news sites. Renowned for its diverse and rich content, spanning exclusive news reports, features, and interviews, Dzair Tube reaches a broad audience through its Arabic, French, and English editions, garnering over half a million daily clicks.
Notably, Dzair Tube was previously honored with the President of the Republic’s Award for Professional Journalist in the Electronic Press category on October 22, 2022. This underscores the consistent commitment of Dzair Tube to maintaining the highest standards of journalism.
The media group boasts a significant online presence, with 350,000 subscribers on YouTube, over a million followers on various supportive Facebook pages, and 450,000 subscribers on Instagram. Dzair Tube’s digital channel has become a focal point for diverse programming, including news, sports, entertainment, culture, and religion, catering to a wide spectrum of audience preferences.
Dzair Tube’s digital channel, equipped with state-of-the-art studios and advanced technology, has gained substantial viewership for its varied programs. The platform hosts interactive discussions with influential figures across different domains, fostering public discourse and engagement. The commitment of Dzair Tube extends to the production of marketing documentaries, short TV commercials, and high-viewership programs.
Moreover, the print edition of Dzair Tube’s sports newspaper, “Dzair Sport,” has achieved remarkable success, with over 50,000 daily downloads from the official Dzair Tube website.
The Media Leadership Award stands as a recognition not only of Dzair Tube’s past achievements but also as an encouragement for the media group to continue its pursuit of journalistic excellence, contributing to the nation’s security, prosperity, and stability.
It is worth recalling that Dzair Tube media group was established in 2014 and accredited in 2021. A recent report by Algerian national television channel 5 highlighted the media group’s significant role in delivering reliable and relevant national, regional, and international news in Arabic, French, and English through its information portal, digital channel, and sports daily, ‘Dzair Sport.’
Maamar Gani, the CEO of Dzair Tube media group, emphasized the pioneering nature of the media experience. He stated, “Dzair Tube Media Group is a pioneering experience in electronic media. Its information site, digital channel, and daily sports publication ‘Dzair Sport’ were launched to cover Algerian news in three languages and provide our audience with reliable and relevant national, regional, and international information, including economic, cultural, sports, and scientific news.”
Recognizing the central role of electronic media in today’s world, Gani stressed that countering misinformation and revealing plots against the nation are pivotal responsibilities. He noted that Dzair Tube is at the forefront, representing Algeria and staunchly responding to malicious campaigns and vicious conspiracies aimed at undermining the country’s security and stability through various subversive tools.
Gani underlined, “Dzair Tube has been the first media outlet specializing in videography in three languages (Arabic, French, and English), offering a 24-hour news cycle with a dynamic team of 30 journalists and technicians dedicated to providing credible information in all aspects of life.”
