Algiers- Algeria, May 13, 2024 – During his visit to the Tizi-Ouzou province on Monday, Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, made a significant announcement regarding the National Company of Electrical Appliance Industries (ENIEM). Aoun revealed that the government has allocated a subsidy of 3.5 billion Algerian dinars (DA) to support ENIEM.
This subsidy is part of the state’s broader efforts to rejuvenate ENIEM, which has faced considerable challenges in recent years. Aoun stressed the importance of this initiative in ensuring the company’s continued operation and enhancing its productivity.
Acknowledging the substantial support provided by the state to safeguard ENIEM, Aoun directed the company’s management to utilize the subsidy effectively to create value and ensure the long-term sustainability of the company’s operations. He emphasized that every dinar of the subsidy must be dedicated to the company’s benefit.
In line with this directive, Aoun instructed ENIEM to refrain from engaging in any sponsorship activities for sports clubs or other events. He underscored the need for strict financial discipline, emphasizing that all resources should be channeled towards strengthening the company’s operations and competitiveness.
