ALGIERS- During an event dedicated to presenting programs prepared for the month of Ramadan by the Algerian Public Television Corporation (EPTV) at the Higher School of Hotel and Catering, Minister of Communication Mohamed Laagab urged media outlets, especially television, to broadcast useful and educational programs carrying “universal messages for the family.” He stressed the importance of television content in bringing family members together and appreciated the slogan chosen by Algerian television for the holy month, “Ramadan Yalmena” (Ramadan Unites Us).

The minister highlighted that airing an educational program schedule during Ramadan is an opportunity for Algerian television to strengthen its national and international position while providing artists, directors, and producers the opportunity to showcase their creativity and talents.

On his part, the Director-General of Algerian television, Nadir Boukabes, assured of the institution’s commitment to presenting a program schedule that meets the public’s expectations while respecting the symbolism of the sacred month.

He emphasized that this program schedule is characterized by richness and diversity. He mentioned dramas, including series focusing on societal issues and personal struggles, such as “Haya” and “Intiqam Al-Zaman.”

He also mentioned the airing of the second season of a Syrian production, “Al-Arabji.”

Algerian television also features revolutionary works such as the film “Mohamed Belouizdad” and “Al-Suwaiqa.”

The Quran channel has scheduled several programs and competitions, including “Taj Al-Quran Al-Karim,” where participants compete in Quranic recitation, and the program “Hadi Al-Arwah” (Guide of Souls).

Additionally, Algerian television offers comedies, including the sitcom “Mayna,” “Academy Show,” “Aicha Wa Bandou,” and “Alif Benna Wa Benna,” as well as the hidden camera show “Caméra Café.”
