Algerian Ministry of National Defense: Arrest 12 Individuals Supporting Terrorists in Ongoing Operations

ALGIERS- In a statement released on Wednesday, the Ministry of National Defense (MDN) reported the arrest of 12 individuals supporting terrorist groups in various operations conducted by the People’s National Army (ANP) across the country from November 29 to December 5.
Additionally, security forces successfully thwarted attempts to smuggle over 13 quintals and 32 kg of treated Hashish through the borders with Morocco. In a coordinated effort with various security services, ANP detachments arrested 70 individuals involved in drug trafficking, and approximately 348,758 psychotropic tablets were seized during these operations, as mentioned in the statement. The ongoing efforts aim to enhance national security and combat illicit activities threatening the well-being of the country.
