Algiers- Algeria, May 10, 2024 – The “Dahbia” olive oil, produced in Ain Ouessara in the Djelfa province, has been awarded two gold medals in international competitions held in Geneva, Switzerland, and Copenhagen, Denmark.
Mr. Hakim Alileche, the brand’s promoter, shared that the olive oil clinched its first gold medal at the International and European Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition (EIOOC) in Geneva, Switzerland. The second gold medal was attained in another competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark. These achievements underscore the exceptional quality of the “Dahbia” olive oil, meeting rigorous international standards, as assessed by renowned tasting experts.
This is not the first time the Dahbia olive oil has garnered recognition abroad. Last year, the Algerian brand received awards in various international competitions, including in Tokyo, Japan, Oslo, Norway, Turkey, Athens, Greece, the United States of America (USA), and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Hakim Alileche, along with other agricultural investors, was honored by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune during the national agricultural symposium in February 2023.
The success of Dahbia olive oil in international competitions highlights the outstanding quality and excellence of Algerian agricultural products on a global scale. It not only promotes Algeria’s olive oil industry but also enhances the country’s reputation in the international market.
