Algerian Parliament Speaker Ibrahim Boughali in Oman: Exchange of Experiences and Expertise

ALGIERS- Algerian Parliament Speaker, Mr. Ibrahim Boughali, held meetings yesterday with Omani ministers Saeed Bin Hamoud Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communication, and Information Technology, and Salim Bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.

During his meeting with the Omani Minister of Transport, Communication, and Information Technology, Mr. Boughali discussed “the current state and future prospects of the transport, communication, and digitization sectors in Algeria,” emphasizing “President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s commitment to their promotion and development.” He expressed the desire for “more opportunities for the exchange of expertise and leveraging of pioneering experiences through joint action programs.”

Mr. Boughali highlighted Algeria’s interest in benefiting from Oman’s advanced experience in these sectors to enhance Algerian infrastructure and technological capabilities. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in areas such as transport, telecommunications, and digital transformation.

In his meeting with the Omani Minister of Energy and Minerals, Mr. Boughali discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. He underscored Algeria’s vast potential in the energy field and its commitment to expanding its partnerships with Oman in areas such as renewable energy, mining, and oil and gas exploration.

The discussions between Mr. Boughali and the Omani ministers also touched on the importance of enhancing trade relations between Algeria and Oman, exploring opportunities for investment, and facilitating bilateral trade.

Mr. Boughali’s visit to Oman aims to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of transportation, communication, information technology, energy, and minerals. It represents a step towards building stronger ties and fostering mutual development and prosperity.
