ALGIERS- Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui hosted a farewell meeting with Armando Vergara Bueno, the departing Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Algeria, as confirmed by a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
During this significant encounter, both parties took stock of the present state and future trajectory of bilateral relations, building upon the discussions held between President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel in November 2022. The focal point of these deliberations was to bolster strategic collaboration and expand bilateral cooperation, particularly within the economic domain.
Acknowledging the convergence of their stances on regional and global affairs, Prime Minister Larbaoui and Ambassador Vergara Bueno underscored their shared commitment to addressing pressing issues, notably the Palestinian cause. They reiterated the urgent need to rally support for initiatives aimed at halting Zionist aggression against the Palestinian populace, with a specific emphasis on the plight of those residing in the Gaza Strip.
