ALGIERS- The Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) has taken significant steps to bolster its leadership and efficiency, with a partial movement affecting key positions within the organization. Approved by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, this strategic decision signals a new era of change and dynamism within the DGSN.

According to an official press release from the DGSN, the recent partial movement has resulted in the reassignment of four central directors at the General Directorate of National Security, alongside twenty-four heads of wilayas’ police. This bold move comes as part of the organization’s comprehensive three-year evaluation process, aimed at assessing performance and driving transformative improvements at all levels.

Furthermore, 11 Deputy Heads of the Algerian police were elevated to the position of Heads of the National Security, and, concurrently, 6 security chiefs from the southern wilayas were reassigned to the northern region.

By infusing new blood into managerial roles, the DGSN seeks to foster a culture of innovation, responsiveness, and accountability, aligned with its commitment to providing top-tier security services to the nation.
