Algiers- Algeria, May 10, 2024 – Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, on Thursday in Algiers, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.

During the meeting at the Government Palace, both parties discussed “the state of privileged bilateral relations and the prospects for their development in various fields, as well as the common commitment to work together to strengthen the partnership between the two countries in light of the conclusions of the meetings between the leaders of both countries, notably the state visit by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to Italy in May 2022,” the statement reads.

The discussions also focused on “means to enhance coordination and joint action within the framework of the +Mattei Plan+ to support development in Africa, in addition to the current regional and international situation, particularly the genocide perpetrated against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza,” the same source concluded.

The meeting between Prime Minister Larbaoui and Ambassador Cutillo highlights the strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Algeria and Italy. Both countries are committed to further strengthening their partnership across various sectors, building on the fruitful exchanges between their leaders.
