ALGIERS- In a statement released on Wednesday, the Presidency declared that “the gang’s last breath” has been drawn, amidst attempts by its cronies to tarnish the members of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council ‘CREA’. Describing the council as a “nationalistic” organization, the Presidency praised its members for their integrity and encouraged them, along with all economic operators, to continue advancing the national economy despite efforts to undermine its reputation by remnants of the gang, who are now on their last legs.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a delegation from the Algerian Economic Renewal Council  led by Kamel Moula, where discussions revolved around the various investment projects launched. A statement from the Presidency outlined that the meeting covered investment projects from November 2022 to the end of February 2024, totaling 6,103 projects valued at 3,068 billion dinars, with the potential to create 150,000 direct job opportunities.

Foreign direct investment reached 38 billion dinars, while the value of partnership investment projects amounted to 844 billion Algerian dinars. The Council received commendation from President Tebboune for its role in bolstering the national economy, earning it “full presidential confidence” and respect from foreign partners.

President Tebboune emphasized that the Algerian Economic Renewal Council is a “nationalistic” organization, comprised of patriotic and honorable members. The President’s endorsement underscores the Council’s commitment to economic progress and stability, recognized by all economic stakeholders.
