Algiers, September 3, 2023 – In a significant move aimed at bolstering Algeria’s communication and media landscape, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has appointed Professor Mohamed Lagab as the new Minister of Communication, according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
In an official press release, the Presidency of the Republic confirmed that Mohamed Lagab’s appointment aligns with the constitutional provisions outlined in articles 91, paragraph 7, and 104. Following consultations with the Prime Minister, President Tebboune, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of National Defense, formally named Mohamed Lagab as Minister of Communication on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
