ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered, on Thursday evening, Eid al-Fitr greetings to the Algerian people, praising the gestures of solidarity and the “intense spiritual atmosphere” during the Holy month of Ramadan.

“Praise is due to Allah for having blessed us with the grace of completing the month of fasting in an intense spiritual atmosphere, cohesion, tranquility and satisfaction,” said President Tebboune in an address to the Algerian people, on the eve of the celebration of Eid El-Fitr.

“As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, I express my high consideration for the gestures of solidarity which are renewed each year during the month of Ramadan, with the charitable actions of Algerians here and those residing abroad towards the needy and destitute families,” continued the President of the Republic.

The President did not fail to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, denouncing the Zionist atrocities in the occupied territories as well as the desecration of the Aqsa mosque as they are committing violations against worshipers in occupied Al-Quds, preventing them from accessing places of worship, at the top of which, Al-Aqsa Mosque, the world’s third-holiest site for Muslims, resorting to an excessive force against them in a way that threatens their lives and most likely leads to death.

In addition, President Tebboune called upon the brothers in Sudan to put an end to hostilities, stressing “the importance of prioritizing dialogue and the supreme interest of Sudan”.

“We will celebrate tomorrow the blessed Eid al-Fitr with joy. On this occasion, I offer to all Algerians,  both inside and outside the country, my most heartfelt wishes, while imploring Allah the Almighty to gratify you with health and peace. I hope that this occasion will bring happiness and prosperity to our dear country, our brave people and the entire Muslim nation,” concluded President Tebboune.

Long live a free and sovereign Algeria

Eternal glory to our martyrs
