Scheduled to commence operations in 2025, the signing ceremony was attended by distinguished officials and stakeholders from Algeria, Qatar, and Germany.

This momentous agreement was signed by Mr. Lahlali Lahlali, the Director of Health and Population for the Algiers region, representing Algeria, and Mr. Mohamed Moatez El-Khayat, President of “Estithmar” holding company, representing Qatar. Notably, the event was graced by the presence of Algeria’s Minister of Health, Abdelhak Saihi, high-ranking officials from the Algerian Ministry of Health, H.E. He stated that this endeavor was in line with the international expansion strategy of the “Estithmar” holding company.

This healthcare initiative, a result of collaboration between the Algerian Ministry of Health and the Qatari holding company, will not only witness the establishment of the hospital but also a medical staff training institute. This initiative underscores the shared commitment of both nations to reinforce and nurture the healthcare sector for the betterment of Algeria.

Elaborating on the hospital’s features, Mr. Badr shared that the hospital would be equipped with cutting-edge medical facilities, including 30 intensive care units, 15 state-of-the-art operating theaters, and 40 outpatient clinics. Furthermore, it will comprise 20 specialized emergency care areas, converging high-level medical expertise and the latest diagnostic and treatment technology under one roof.

The project’ scope extends beyond providing general healthcare, as it aims to address the specialized medical needs of the Algerian population. Complex heart diseases, liver surgery, neurosurgery, spinal deformities, oncology, and chemotherapy are some of the areas in which the hospital will play a crucial role in providing advanced healthcare services.

Expressing his gratitude for the support received from the Algerian Ministry of Health, Mr. Badr declared this project to be the inaugural endeavor for the “Estithmar” holding company in Algeria. He indicated plans for numerous promising partnerships that aim to contribute to socio-economic development in Algeria across diverse sectors.
