Algiers, Algeria | September 15th, 2024 — In a swift response to the devastating floods that recently struck Ain Sefra, the Algerian Red Crescent has initiated the shipment of vital aid to the families affected by the severe weather. Following a detailed assessment of the damage, the aid distribution process is set to begin, bringing much-needed relief to those impacted by the floods.
The floods, triggered by torrential rains, wreaked havoc on several neighborhoods in Ain Sefra and surrounding areas in Naâma province. The natural disaster left behind significant destruction, prompting a rapid mobilization of humanitarian efforts across the region.
