ALGIERS, November 13, 2023- In line with its strategy to bolster humanitarian efforts nationwide, the Algerian Red Crescent (ARC) has successfully equipped five healthcare centers in the Adrar province, as announced in a press release on Sunday.
The operation, co-chaired by ARC President Ibtissem Hamlaoui and the Adrar province’s Wali, involved the provisioning of medical facilities in the municipalities of Tsabit, Akebli, Ksar Tilaouline, Adrar, and Ksar Anzedjmir. Additionally, two Quranic schools in the region received equipment and bedding in anticipation of the winter season, as highlighted in the statement.
The official opening of training sessions on information and communication, first aid, and the restoration of family bonds took place in the large conference hall of the province. During this event, Mrs. Hamlaoui assessed the progress of the workshops led by ARC professionals in collaboration with representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and in the presence of delegates from southern provinces.
The ARC’s commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities aligns with its broader humanitarian mission, aiming to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to communities across Algeria. The strategic placement of equipped medical rooms in various municipalities is a proactive measure to address healthcare needs at the local level.
The humanitarian initiative also extends beyond healthcare, with the provision of essential equipment to Quranic schools, emphasizing the ARC’s holistic approach to community well-being.
