Algerian Red Crescent Holds Annual General Assembly Meeting: Reviewing 2023 Achievements, Future Plans

ALGIERS- The Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) held its Ordinary General Assembly meeting on Saturday at the National Army Club in Béni Messous, Algiers, to present its 2023 annual report.
Opening the assembly, CRA President Ibtissem Hamlaoui stated that the 2023 report was “very significant,” commending the “efforts” made by volunteers throughout the past year.
The General Assembly proceedings unanimously adopted the annual report, which included both financial and moral reports, following their presentation to the participants. Additionally, the organization’s internal regulations were adopted during the General Assembly, along with the election of new members to the Board of Directors.
Hamlaoui emphasized the importance of the CRA’s work in providing humanitarian assistance and support to those in need across Algeria. She highlighted the dedication of volunteers in delivering aid, conducting emergency response operations, and promoting community resilience.
The financial report outlined the CRA’s income, expenses, and budget allocations for various programs and initiatives aimed at assisting vulnerable populations, including disaster relief, healthcare services, and social welfare programs.
Moreover, the moral report focused on the organization’s achievements, challenges faced, and future plans. Hamlaoui expressed gratitude to all volunteers, staff, and partners for their contributions and commitment to the humanitarian mission of the Algerian Red Crescent.
