ALGIERS- As the humanitarian arm of the Algerian government, the Algerian Red Crescent in Djelfa has provided care for both a child and his father. Additionally, they will fulfill their duty by transporting the child to the hospital via a fully equipped ambulance.
We would like to reiterate that the Algerian Red Crescent is committed to serving all individuals in need, and that its ambulances are readily available; just call the free-toll number 1005.
The Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) was established in 1956, during the height of the independence revolution. As the oldest humanitarian organization in Algeria, the CRA’s initial focus was on treating casualties of the National Liberation War. Following recognition by the government as an independent voluntary relief society, the CRA joined the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) in July 1963. Today, the organization boasts 48 branches across various provinces, with an office in each city. These branches are home to numerous committees that provide basic health services, humanitarian aid, charitable assistance, and a range of environmental, sports, and arts activities.
Since its inception, the Algerian Red Crescent has been driven by a noble mission to serve humanity, advocate for the vulnerable, and safeguard their dignity. This mission is inspired by the authentic Algerian spirit and the innate nature of the Algerian people, who are renowned for their generosity and loving kindness towards all. The wise and far-sighted leadership of Algeria has always been keen to support, encourage, and nurture humanitarian actions, recognizing their vital role in promoting cooperation among nations and achieving the ultimate goal of mankind – cooperation and solidarity in the face of crises, challenges, and blights, as well as establishing international peace and security.
Algeria sets a shining example of volunteer activity and has significantly contributed to the development of a clear picture of how humanitarian relief should be perceived and implemented. The Algerian Red Crescent remains committed to its mission of serving humanity and advocating for the vulnerable, and its efforts continue to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
