Algerian Red Crescent Launches Medical Solidarity Convoy in Bouira

Algiers, Algeria | January 18th, 2025 —  In a remarkable demonstration of humanitarian commitment, the Algerian Red Crescent has launched a comprehensive medical solidarity convoy in the municipality of Bordj Khriss, Bouira Province. This initiative, designed to serve vulnerable communities across four municipalities, reflects a powerful synergy of medical care and social support aimed at uplifting underserved populations.

The convoy, comprising a dedicated team of 19 doctors specializing in various medical fields, is expected to provide consultations to more than 700 individuals. Operating out of the multi-service health clinic in Bordj Khriss, the team will offer free medical examinations, distribute essential medications, and provide prescription eyeglasses tailored to individual needs.

Beyond medical care, the convoy also includes a significant distribution of humanitarian aid, including 40 tons of essential supplies, such as bedding, clothing, and blankets. This multi-faceted support underscores the Algerian Red Crescent’s holistic approach to addressing both immediate medical needs and broader socio-economic challenges faced by communities.
