Algerian Red Crescent President Hamlaoui Announces Comprehensive Ramadan, Aid Initiatives

ALGIERS- During her working visit to the provinces of Al-Bayadh and the delegated province of Al-Bayadh-Sidi Cheikh, Dr. Ibtissem Hamlaoui, Chairperson of the Algerian Red Crescent, unveiled ambitious plans to support over 100,000 families nationwide during the holy month of Ramadan. Additionally, more than 20,000 orphans are set to benefit from aid initiatives during Eid al-Fitr and circumcision operations. The aid efforts also include the establishment of 200 Red Crescent-affiliated restaurants along the East-West highway and various routes in the interior regions, as well as at border checkpoints.
Regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinian brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Ibtissem Hamlaoui emphasized the Algerian Red Crescent’s commitment to providing assistance despite challenges. She highlighted the organization’s readiness and the country’s authorities to offer aid amid the closure of the Rafah Crossing. She also underscored that the Algerian Red Crescent’s authority extends beyond national borders, reflecting its determination to support those in need globally.
Dr. Hamlaoui’s announcement comes amidst ongoing efforts by the Algerian Red Crescent to alleviate suffering and provide essential aid to vulnerable populations, both domestically and internationally.
