Algerian Red Crescent President Holds Coordination Meeting with General Commander of Algerian Islamic Scouts

Algiers, February 28, 2024- The President of the Algerian Red Crescent, Ibtissem Hamlaoui, held a coordination meeting with the General Commander of the Algerian Islamic Scouts, Abderrahmane Hamzaoui, in preparation for solidarity operations and in support of the state’s efforts to meet the needs of citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as to strive to provide dignified social service to the needy.
On this occasion, the two parties agreed to prepare a work plan for collaboration in providing assistance and better care for needy families, preserving their dignity, and promoting solidarity and fraternity among members of Algerian society in line with the continuous directives of the President of the Republic.
The organizations also committed to intensifying efforts and cooperation to carry out various solidarity activities during the holy month across the entire national territory, including organizing iftar meals for fasting individuals, distributing food parcels to deserving recipients, providing hot meals, and organizing mass circumcision operations for children.
These operations will be carried out in collaboration between the branches of both organizations across the country to ensure the success of this important solidarity work during the holy month.
