Algiers, Algeria | September 1st, 2024 — The President of the Algerian Red Crescent, Ibtissem Hamlaoui, arrived in Djelfa to personally oversee a significant humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting students as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Greeted by the Governor of Djelfa and other local authorities, Hamlaoui’s visit underscores the organization’s ongoing commitment to educational support and social welfare.

The focal point of this initiative is the distribution of 5,000 school bags, an essential contribution that reflects the Red Crescent’s dedication to alleviating the financial burden on families and ensuring that all children have the necessary tools for their education. The initiative is part of a broader national campaign led by the Algerian Red Crescent to support students in need across various regions of the country.

This initiative not only addresses immediate educational needs but also strengthens the relationship between the Red Crescent and local communities, reinforcing the organization’s role as a key partner in Algeria’s social development efforts.
