ALGIERS- In an opening session of the ARC’s provincial general assembly in Oran on Saturday, Ibtissem Hamlaoui emphasized the organization’s special attention to the “Family Reconnection Program.” She stated that the program, designed for individuals and families separated for various reasons, “is considered one of the most crucial activity programs for the ARC in the upcoming phase.” Hamlaoui stressed the importance of reintegrating individuals into their families to shield them from potential dangers and ensure their mental and physical well-being.

Hamlaoui highlighted the success of the provisional committee of the ARC in Oran in reuniting numerous families, particularly those adversely affected by the clandestine immigration of some of their members, especially the youth. This initiative aims to be expanded to all provinces nationwide by the National Committee.

Additionally, Hamlaoui acknowledged the triumph of the concept of establishing free pharmacies in five pilot branches, including the Oran province. These pharmacies provide a range of medications free of charge to patients in need, especially those unable to travel to healthcare facilities, a responsibility shouldered by the ARC’s home rescue cells.

Expressing the desire of the national committee to extend free pharmacies to all 58 provinces of the country, Hamlaoui also spoke about the success of the Rahma stable restaurants currently organized in numerous provinces. Preparations are underway to generalize this experience across all provinces.

Abderrahmane Belabbes, President of the Committee for Social, Cultural, and Sports Affairs at the Oran Municipal People’s Assembly (APC), announced the commitment of the Oran municipality to collaborate with all civil society organizations, particularly the ARC, in serving society and vulnerable groups.

This collaboration has yielded positive results, including the establishment of a stable restaurant by the ARC at the central library of the municipality, providing daily hot meals to homeless individuals.

Members of the ARC’s general assembly in Oran reiterated their confidence on Saturday in the president of the provisional provincial committee, Karim Mouchi.
