Launch of “Algerians Abroad” to Unite High-Caliber Professionals and Strengthen Global Impact
Algiers, Algeria | February 13th, 2025 — In a landmark event held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on Sunday, February 9, 2025, the official launch of “Algerians Abroad” was announced—a pioneering non-profit organization based in the Netherlands with an international scope. The initiative aims to unite and empower high-skilled Algerian professionals residing in the Netherlands and beyond, particularly young experts, to create a formidable network of influence and collaboration.
The event, attended by Algeria’s Ambassador to The Hague, Salima Abdelhak, marked the first gathering of its kind in the Netherlands, bringing together over 100 Algerian professionals from diverse sectors and multiple countries. This historic meeting facilitated knowledge exchange, networking, and inspiration among elite Algerian talents.
A Vision for Global Outreach and Cultural Promotion
Led by Nawal Khalil, an academic educator and international public health consultant, “Algerians Abroad” is managed by a dynamic team of young Algerian professionals specializing in key fields such as computer science, healthcare, and management. The organization is committed to maintaining strong ties with Algeria while promoting its rich cultural heritage on the international stage.
Initially, the initiative will focus on building robust professional networks between Algerian experts in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, with plans for future expansion into other countries. This ambitious roadmap includes the organization of high-profile conferences, international forums, and professional development programs aimed at strengthening Algerian representation in global professional arenas.
A Call for Unity and Influence
In her address, Ambassador Salima Abdelhak congratulated the Algerian diaspora for spearheading this groundbreaking initiative and underscored the importance of unity and solidarity in forming a community with significant advisory and decision-making influence. She urged professionals to actively contribute to Algeria’s socio-economic progress and assured them of the embassy’s unwavering support in facilitating their endeavors.
Key Experts and Strategic Discussions
The event featured four networking workshops alongside a high-level roundtable discussion with distinguished Algerian professionals, including:
- Mohamed Gouggam, a consultant in data science and artificial intelligence strategies
- Ahmed Boudissa, a PhD in AI and technology entrepreneur
- Djamila Mansouri, a senior official at the European Space Agency
- Mourad Aïssou, founder of Zsoft Consulting, a leading IT consulting firm in France
- Rayan Benallal, entrepreneur and founder of the initiative “Young Innovators in Algeria”
During the conference, the organization unveiled its 2025 strategic agenda, which includes six major initiatives encompassing professional forums, conferences, and online training programs tailored for young Algerians seeking to enhance their skills.

On the sidelines of the event, a cultural exhibition was held, showcasing traditional Algerian jewelry, photography, and authentic garments as part of the organization’s mission to promote Algeria’s rich cultural identity on the global stage.
