Algerian Trade Minister, Mauritanian counterpart open El-Mouggar International Trade Fair in Tindouf

Algiers– The minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, with the Mauritanian minister of Trade, Craft Industry and Tourism, Lamrabott Ould Bennahi, opened, Friday, the 11th El-Mouggar International Trade Fair in Tindouf.
Speaking at the opening of this economic event, Mr. Rezig affirmed that the El-Mouggar International Fair “is of great importance being the access portal from Algeria to Mauritania and to the countries of West Africa”.
He stressed that this edition in which the Islamic Republic of Mauritania participates as guest of honor, will be crown with success in view of the strong and exceptional participation of all economic branches, including the military economic industry.
According to the Minister, the products exhibited on the occasion of this important economic event “comply with international quality standards with very high integration rates”.
He added that this fair “is an opportunity for Algerian operators to meet their counterparts from Mauritania and West African countries in order to strengthen relations and exchanges “.
The Minister stressed that Algeria is fully prepared to develop with Mauritania, a neighboring country, within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAf), economic, trade and investment relations based on the principle of win-win cooperation”.
For his part, the Mauritanian Minister of Commerce, Handicrafts and Tourism indicated that “this fair is of great importance for Mauritania because it comes at a time when the two countries are working to develop and strengthen relations bilateral”.
In this regard, he called for the development of economic and trade relations between Mauritania and Algeria to raise them to the level of secular political relations that bind the two countries.
Up to 70 exhibitors active in the various economic sectors participate in this fair which will run until March 4, under the theme “The El-Mouggar fair … crossroads of exports and commercial exchanges of the countries of West Africa,” organizers said.
