Algeria’s FM Attaf Meets Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali:  Advancing Strategic Ties, Shared Vision for Africa’s Future

Algiers, Algeria | December 16th, 2024 — Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, was received on Monday in Addis Ababa by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. The meeting took place as part of Attaf’s official visit to Ethiopia in his capacity as Special Envoy of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During the high-profile encounter, Attaf delivered a written message from President Tebboune to the Ethiopian Prime Minister. The message conveyed Tebboune’s warm fraternal greetings and reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast commitment to elevating bilateral relations with Ethiopia to unprecedented levels, according to a statement from Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As a Special Envoy, he delivered a message from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. We had fruitful discussions on strengthening the enduring ties between Ethiopia and Algeria.”
