Algiers, Algeria | December 12th, 2024 — Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, arrived in Kampala, Uganda, on Thursday evening for an official visit, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune as a special envoy. This visit aims to bolster the privileged bilateral relations and deepen high-level consultation traditions between Algeria and Uganda, underscoring their commitment to fostering cooperation and addressing continental challenges.
During his stay, Minister Attaf will deliver a letter from President Tebboune to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. He is also scheduled to hold a working session with his Ugandan counterpart, Haji Abubaker Jeje Odongo, focusing on advancing shared priorities and enhancing regional collaboration.
This visit follows Attaf’s recent diplomatic mission to Burundi, where he met with President Évariste Ndayishimiye and engaged in discussions on reinforcing bilateral ties and addressing pivotal issues of African concern. These diplomatic efforts reflect Algeria’s proactive engagement in strengthening partnerships across the continent.
