ALGIERS- The delegation of the Algerian national football team has landed in the capital of Togo, Lomé, as they commence a preparatory training camp for the rescheduled Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, now set to take place in 2024.
Upon their arrival at Lomé Airport, following a approximately 6-hour flight on a private plane from Houari Boumediene Airport, the national players exhibited a focused demeanor. The team is gearing up for an extensive training camp in Togo, scheduled to continue until January 10.
Notably, the squad, under the guidance of coach Djamel Belmadi, is slated to play two friendly matches against Togo and Burundi during the training camp. These friendly encounters will serve as a crucial opportunity for the coach to finalize the core lineup that will be relied upon during the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
