Aimed at Researchers, Academics, and Journalists, the Initiative Seeks to Elevate Electoral Studies and Strengthen Specialized Journalism
Algiers, Algeria | April 26th, 2025 — In a major step to promote academic excellence and enhance electoral culture, the Independent National Electoral Authority (ANIE) officially announced the launch of the “Independent Authority’s Prize for the Best Research in Algerian Electoral Law,” a competition open to researchers, academics, election specialists, and Algerian journalists working in the field of print media.
The announcement was made this Saturday by the Acting President of the Authority, Professor Karim Khelfan, during a formal address highlighting the significance of this national initiative.
According to the statement issued by the Authority, the prize pursues several strategic objectives:
-Encouraging Algerian researchers to demonstrate creativity and innovation to elevate the standards of scientific research in the field of electoral law.
-Supporting and promoting high-quality, specialized journalistic production covering elections and related subjects.
-Contributing to the advancement of scientific research through partnerships with national research centers and academic institutions.
The Authority extended an open invitation to all interested candidates to carefully review the eligibility criteria and participation guidelines, which can be accessed by scanning the QR code featured in the official announcement located at the end of this article.
Submissions for the competition will be accepted via the dedicated email address (ahsenbaht2025@ina-elections.dz) during the period from Sunday, May 11, 2025, to Sunday, August 31, 2025.
