Algeria’s National Police Chief Participates in Interpol’s 92nd General Assembly, Engages in Key Bilateral Talks

Algiers, Algeria | November 07th, 2024 — The Director General of Algeria’s National Police (DGSN), Ali Badaoui, is representing Algeria in the 92nd session of the General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), being held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from November 4 to November 7. A significant highlight of this assembly was the election of Valdecy Urquiza from Brazil as the new Secretary General of Interpol. Urquiza, succeeding Jürgen Stock at the helm, brings a fresh vision to the organization’s leadership as it navigates increasingly complex security challenges.

On the sidelines of the assembly, Badaoui engaged in pivotal bilateral meetings with police chiefs from South Korea, Russia, Iran, India, Turkey, and Germany.
