Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tabi was received on Friday, in his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by the President of the Republic of Lebanon, Mr. Michel Aoun to whom he delivered the letter of invitation addressed to him by his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to participate in the work of the 31st Arab Summit scheduled for early November in Algiers, said a press release from the ministry.
“The Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tabi was received on Friday, in his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by the President of the Republic of Lebanon, Mr. Michel Aoun at whom he delivered the letter of invitation sent to him by his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to participate in the work of the 31st Arab Summit scheduled in Algiers on November 1 and 2, 2022”, reads the press release.
The meeting made it possible to discuss the ongoing preparations for the holding of the Arab Summit which is an opportunity to promote and strengthen joint Arab action to meet the various challenges at the regional and international levels, according to the same source.
His Excellency President Michel Aoun hailed the laborious efforts made by Algeria to ensure the success of the next Arab Summit, and expressed Lebanon’s readiness to participate and contribute to the success of this important Arab event, according to same source.
This meeting also made it possible to discuss the relations of brotherhood and cooperation which unite Algeria and Lebanon.
President Michel Aoun expressed his deep gratitude for the forms of solidarity brought by Algeria to Lebanon.
At the end of the meeting, the Lebanese President instructed the Minister of Justice to convey to his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune his warm greetings, as well as his full conviction regarding Algeria’s ability to host a unifying Arab Summit for promising joint Arab action. (APS)
