ALGIERS- As part of a long-standing tradition, the Municipality of Algiers Downtown is organizing a Grand Iftar event this evening, Saturday, March 30th, in the commune of Sidi M’hamed. The event will feature the setup of a large communal table starting from May 1st Square.
Spearheaded by the Algiers Downtown municipality, the communal iftar involves the participation of municipal workers, residents, and members of civil society, all coming together to partake in the festivities. Lotfi Sellami, president of the Sidi M’hamed Municipality, has emphasized the significance of this event as the largest iftar table, extending a warm invitation to Algerian families to gather and share a meal in a welcoming atmosphere.
Prior to this occasion, a media sponsorship agreement was signed by Maamar Gani, owner and general manager of Dzair Tube Group, and Lotfi Sellami, President of the People’s Municipal Council of Sidi M’hamed. Their collaborative efforts reflect a shared commitment to fostering unity, inclusivity, and community spirit through this momentous event.
Several prominent economic companies, known for their patriotic stance, have generously come forward to sponsor this grand event, which stands as a testament to unity and community spirit in Algeria.
