Algiers: Health sector to be reinforced with 6 new hospitals, maternity hospital

ALGIERS- The wali of Algiers, Abdenour Rabhi, revealed that “the health sector of the wilaya will be reinforced with 6 new hospitals and a maternity hospital,” several media reported.

The wali affirmed, in a declaration to the press on the sidelines of a working and the inspection visit to a number of projects being completed in various municipalities of the wilaya, that the severe burns hospital of Zeralda “will soon come into service.”

He added that other hospitals which are currently being completed in Reghaia, Baraki, Ain Benian and Sidi Abdallah “will be delivered over the next year”.

Regarding a hospital project in the municipality of Baba Hassen, whose work has been suspended, the wali confirmed that “it will be relaunched through the conclusion of a new contract with another company.”

Abdenour Rabhi also stressed the importance of carrying out these projects, which will help improve the living conditions of the citizen.
