Minister Aoun Announces Recovery of 215 Hectares of Industrial Land Near El Hadjar Complex

ALGIERS- In a recent announcement from the province of Annaba, Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, stated that 215 hectares of industrial land in close proximity to the El Hadjar steel complex have been successfully recovered. The minister highlighted that this reclaimed land will be allocated to investment project proponents.
Aoun emphasized the priority of exploiting and maximizing the potential of this significant industrial land reserve to further develop the steel industry. He underscored the importance of establishing an integrated industrial framework near the complex, which is already connected to gas, electricity, and water networks.
Additionally, the minister acknowledged the collective efforts at the national level to recover unused industrial land. The ongoing initiative has so far resulted in the recovery of 6,000 hectares of industrial land, showcasing a commitment to optimizing resources and fostering economic development.
This announcement reflects Algeria’s strategic focus on industrial development and signifies a step toward creating a conducive environment for investment and innovation in the steel sector.
