ALGIERS- In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 20-23 on audiovisual activity, particularly Article 43, Minister of Communication, Dr. Mohamed Laagab, appointed Mr. Amar Ben Jedda as the acting president of the National Independent Authority for Audiovisual Regulation (ARAV) on Monday.
The appointment, made under the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reflects the commitment of the government to ensure effective regulatory oversight in the audiovisual sector. Mr. Ben Jedda’s tenure will play a crucial role in upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and professionalism within the audiovisual landscape of the country.
This decision underscores the government’s dedication to fostering an environment conducive to the development and enhancement of the audiovisual sector in Algeria.
