APN: Boughali Welcomes Sudanese Ambassador in Algiers

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Brahim Boughali, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan in Algiers, Ms. Nadia Mohamed Khair Osman, on Monday. The purpose of their meeting was to explore avenues for elevating bilateral relations to new heights, in line with the aspirations of both nations. This significant development was confirmed in a press release issued by the APN.
During their productive discussion, Mr. Boughali announced the forthcoming establishment of a parliamentary friendship group with Sudan. This initiative aims to solidify the desire to establish mechanisms that will foster extensive cooperation between the parliaments of both countries, ushering in a new era of bilateral development across various sectors.
The Speaker of the APN reiterated Algeria’s commitment to intensify efforts alongside regional and international partners, with the ultimate goal of resolving hostilities among Sudanese factions. This approach is driven by the sincere desire to serve the best interests of Sudan and pave the way for a new era that aligns with the aspirations of its people.
Mr. Boughali also emphasized the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s unwavering dedication to resolving crises through dialogue, rejecting the use of force, and opposing foreign interference.
In response, the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan expressed her appreciation for the current level of bilateral relations, particularly highlighting the joint commission’s action project aimed at ratifying these relations through the utilization of specialized research laboratories.
The Sudanese ambassador also commended Algeria for its unwavering support and understanding stance in the face of the crisis that Sudan is currently undergoing.
Furthermore, Ms. Mohamed Khair Osman praised Algeria’s efforts in promoting Saharan tourism, specifically acknowledging the successful 5th edition of the International Saharan Tourism Festival held in December of last year.
The meeting was, noteworthy, held in the presence of the vice-speakerof the APN, Ms. Hadjira Abbas and the president of the parliamentary group of the El Moustakbal Front, Mr. Fatah Boutebig.
