Approval of New Algerian Ambassadors in Switzerland, Peru, and Burundi

Algiers, Algeria | May 19, 2024 —In a series of diplomatic announcements, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad disclosed the approval of new ambassadors to key nations, further solidifying Algeria’s diplomatic presence and fostering international relations.

Switzerland: Mohamed Lamine Laabas

The Swiss government has granted approval for Mr. Mohamed Lamine Laabas to serve as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Swiss Confederation.

Peru: Nawel Settouti

Ms. Nawel Settouti has received approval from the Peruvian government to assume the role of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Peru.

Burundi: Sabah Fedel

The Burundian government has granted approval for Ms. Sabah Fedel to serve as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Burundi.

These appointments reflect Algeria’s ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic engagement and expand its presence on the global stage. The newly appointed ambassadors will play crucial roles in advancing Algeria’s interests, promoting bilateral cooperation, and facilitating dialogue with their respective host countries.
