ALGIERS- Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, has been invited to attend the Arab League Summit on Friday, May 19th in Saudi Arabia. Thanks to the active support of Algiers, Syria is expected to officially and practically return to its natural family, the Arab League. This diplomatic meeting is a significant milestone for President al-Assad, as it marks his return to the international stage after a decade of isolation.

Syria was expelled from the Arab League in 2011, following a global conspiracy aimed at destroying the front of resistance, as part of what is now known as the Arab Spring. However, on May 7th, the pan-Arab organization reintegrated Syria.

Algiers has played a central role in Syria’s return to its natural family since the previous summit in November. The country’ support has been crucial in bringing Syria back into the fold, and President al-Assad’s attendance at the upcoming summit is a testament to the success of these efforts.

Overall, this is a significant moment for Syria and the Arab League, as it marks the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship. The return of Syria to the Arab League is a positive step towards regional stability and cooperation.
