Algiers, Algeria | November 27th, 2024 — On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, General Saïd Chanegriha, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), embarked on a visit to the State of Kuwait, marking the third day of his official mission. Accompanied by a high-level delegation, the General visited two key sites: the renowned Ahmad Al-Jaber Hydrocarbon and Gas Exhibition and the Mubarak 15th Armored Brigade, underscoring the growing military and energy cooperation between Algeria and Kuwait.

The visit commenced with a tour of the Ahmad Al-Jaber Hydrocarbon and Gas Exhibition, located in the city of Al-Ahmadi. Widely regarded as one of the most advanced and prestigious exhibitions globally, this event is dedicated to the oil and gas sector and offers a deep dive into Kuwait’s petroleum history. The exhibition, which also functions as a cultural museum, traces the development of Kuwait’s oil industry from its inception in 1936, offering an immersive experience that highlights the key stages of petroleum production and refinement.

At the exhibition, General Chanegriha visited several pavilions, where he was provided with detailed briefings by event officials. The discussions focused on the evolution of Kuwait’s oil industry, highlighting the various techniques and innovations employed in the extraction and refinement of petroleum. These advancements have positioned Kuwait as a global leader in energy production, reinforcing its pivotal role in the international oil market.

Following the exhibition, General Chanegriha and his delegation proceeded to visit the Mubarak 15th Armored Brigade, an elite unit of the Kuwaiti Land Forces. Upon arrival, the General was warmly received by Brigade Commanders, who provided comprehensive briefings on the brigade’s operational capabilities, training programs, and advanced weaponry. The 15th Armored Brigade is a crucial component of Kuwait’s defense strategy, and the visit allowed the Algerian delegation to gain insight into its training and operational readiness.

General Chanegriha commended the Mubarak 15th Armored Brigade for its high level of professionalism, outstanding human resources, and cutting-edge military equipment. He expressed his admiration for the unit’s capabilities and the effectiveness of its training programs, reinforcing the importance of strong defense cooperation between the two nations.
