ALGIERS- Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the ANP, oversaw, on Monday evening, a night tactical exercise with live ammunition. The exercise, entitled “El-Israr-2023,” was conducted during his visit to the 2nd Military Region (RM). The exercise was executed by units of the 8th Armored Division, supported by units of the Land Forces and units of technical-air support and Air Defense of the territory.
The exercise was divided into two phases, the first being theoretical, with the participation of the staffs of the Regional Commands and the participating units. The second phase was dynamic, with the commitment of the executing units. The exercise was carried out under conditions close to reality, in accordance with the established plan.
The objectives of this exercise were to improve the skills of staffs in the preparation and organization of night combat actions and coordination between the different forces. Additionally, the exercise aimed to provide commanders with the necessary experience in the conduct of units.
The statement specified in its press release that the exercise was conducted with the utmost professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. The exercise was a testament to the ANP’s commitment to maintaining a high level of readiness and preparedness in the face of any potential threat.
