Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army Reaffirms the ANP’s Readiness and Vigilance Amid Regional and International Challenges
Algiers, Algeria | April 28th, 2025 — In a firm demonstration of Algeria’s unwavering commitment to national defense and operational readiness, Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), is conducting a working and inspection visit this Monday to the 4th Military Region, the Ministry of National Defense (MDN) announced in a statement.
This high-level visit underscores the strategic importance the Algerian High Command places on maintaining heightened vigilance, operational efficiency, and combat readiness across all military regions, particularly given the current volatile regional and international landscape.
During his inspection, General Chanegriha is expected to engage directly with field commanders and military personnel, emphasizing the critical need to uphold the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, and preparedness in the face of evolving security threats.
The visit to the 4th Military Region, which plays a vital role in securing Algeria’s southern borders, will also include a detailed briefing on the operational situation, readiness status, and measures implemented to reinforce security and protect the national territory.
