ALGIERS- The President of the Algeria Precision Mechanics Cluster, Adel Bensaci, confirmed the availability of auto spare parts and the drop, up to 30%, in their prices on the national market soon, due to the return of imports and many dealers to the activity, reported, Sunday, the site El Jazair El Youm.
Adel Bensaci said: “The automotive crisis of recent years has cast a shadow over the spare parts market in Algeria, and the suspension of imports has caused an unprecedented rise in prices, a severe shortage of automotive accessories, the depletion of all stocks inside the country, and the departure of many dealers from the activity”, according to the same media.
The same official explained that after the return of the automotive industry to the forefront, 20 operators active in the field of automotive and mechanical subcontracting were identified on the market.
The number is expected to increase to 40 within a year at most, then it will gradually increase to double, with activity returning to reach significant figures in case operators are encouraged by the authorities.
