Azerbaijani Plane Crash: Algerian Minister Selma Bakhta Mansouri Signs Book of Condolences

Algiers, Algeria | December 27th, 2024 — In a gesture of solidarity and deep sympathy, Selma Bakhta Mansouri, State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of African Affairs, signed the book of condolences at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Algiers on Thursday. This act follows the tragic crash of an Azerbaijani Airlines passenger plane, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.

In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was confirmed that Mansouri visited the embassy on December 26, 2024, to extend Algeria’s heartfelt condolences to the Azerbaijani government and people during this time of grief. “The State Secretary, Mrs. Selma Bakhta Mansouri, today signed the book of condolences at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Algiers, following the crash of an Azerbaijani Airlines passenger plane, which claimed the lives of many and left others injured,” the statement read.
