Azerbaijani President Aliyev Extends Official Invitation to Algerian President Tebboune for State Visit

ALGIERS- President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan has extended an invitation to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the Republic of Algeria to pay a state visit to Azerbaijan, according to a statement released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The invitation was made during a meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement. The Foreign Ministry statement emphasized that President Aliyev invited President Tebboune to visit Azerbaijan as soon as possible in accordance with their commitments.
The meeting between President Aliyev and Foreign Minister Attaf also included discussions with other high-ranking Azerbaijani officials, including Speaker of Parliament Sahiba Gafarova. During the meeting, Minister Attaf conveyed President Tebboune’s greetings and congratulations to President Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s successful presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). The NAM presidency has solidified the shared priorities and interests of both nations.
Furthermore, Minister Attaf expressed President Tebboune’s commitment to continue efforts to enhance Algerian-Azerbaijani relations across all levels. President Aliyev warmly welcomed this commitment and acknowledged the support received from Algeria throughout his presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement.
President Aliyev also noted the invitation extended to him as a guest of honor during the Arab summit hosted by Algeria last year. He expressed his aspiration to intensify communication and coordination between the two countries to further strengthen bilateral relations at the highest level.
Azerbaijan and Algeria share a history of friendship and cooperation, with bilateral relations expanding in recent years. This state visit, once undertaken by President Tebboune, is expected to reinforce the existing ties and explore new avenues for collaboration in various fields, including trade, investment, energy, and culture.
