Algiers, Algeria | January 08th, 2025 — Moroccan journalist and activist Badr Laidoudi has vehemently denounced the Moroccan regime, branding it a “Zionist tool and a poisoned dagger” aimed at destabilizing Africa. In a powerful video statement, Laidoudi accused Rabat of serving as a proxy for French and Zionist interests, weaponizing the Western Sahara conflict to sow division and obstruct genuine self-determination efforts across the region.

Speaking from Spain, Laidoudi exposed Morocco’s destructive policies, highlighting how the regime has systematically undermined African unity in service of neocolonial agendas. He described Morocco’s collaboration with France and the Zionist entity as part of a larger conspiracy to maintain control over the resource-rich Sahel and Sahara regions. “The Moroccan regime is nothing but a functional pawn manipulated to perpetuate chaos and obstruct African sovereignty,” he declared.

Western Sahara: A Weaponized Conflict

Laidoudi emphasized that the Western Sahara issue has long been manipulated by Morocco and its foreign allies as a political bargaining chip. He asserted that Rabat’s continued illegal occupation contradicts international law and defies the legitimate aspirations of the Sahrawi people.

He further argued that Morocco lacks any legal, political, or military legitimacy to claim Western Sahara, stating unequivocally, “The case is sealed in favor of the Sahrawis, and the path forward is through their self-determination. No amount of colonial scheming will prevent the inevitable independence of Western Sahara.”

France and the Zionist Entity’s Complicity

Laidoudi exposed the deeper layers of the Moroccan regime’s complicity, calling out France and the Zionist entity for exploiting Rabat’s ambitions. He accused both powers of fueling Morocco’s territorial claims to maintain their influence over North and West Africa.

“The Zionist entity and France use the Moroccan monarchy as a destabilizing force, preventing the liberation of the Sahrawi people while pushing their imperialist agendas under the guise of diplomacy,” he said.

He condemned the Moroccan regime for hosting French President Emmanuel Macron at a time when several African nations have expelled French troops, viewing it as a desperate attempt to counter the rising anti-colonial wave across the continent.

Rabat’s Isolation and Betrayal of Africa

Laidoudi argued that Morocco’s treacherous alignment with neocolonial powers has left it increasingly isolated on the African stage. He pointed to the African Union’s recognition of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) as undeniable proof that Rabat’s fabricated narrative holds no ground in the continent’s collective conscience.

“Africa has risen against colonial remnants. The Moroccan monarchy’s attempts to defy African sovereignty will only deepen its international isolation,” he asserted, emphasizing that the Sahrawi cause has garnered increasing global support, with African leaders standing firm against Rabat’s deception.

Zionist Influence and Morocco’s Betrayal of Palestine

Laidoudi further condemned Morocco’s normalization of ties with the Zionist entity, highlighting its betrayal of the Palestinian cause for short-term diplomatic favors. “By aligning with Zionists, Morocco has not only betrayed Western Sahara but also the Palestinian struggle for liberation,” he stated, stressing that Rabat’s actions reflect a broader pattern of submission to imperialist powers at the expense of justice and human rights.

The Moroccan journalist concluded by calling on African nations, intellectuals, and resistance movements to reject Morocco’s divisive policies and to continue supporting the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination. “Morocco and its colonial backers will not succeed in silencing Africa’s voice for freedom and dignity. The Sahrawi struggle is righteous, and justice will prevail.”
