Algiers- Algeria, May 12, 2024 – Minister of Trade, Mr. Tayeb Zitouni, met with Bahrain’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Abdellah Ben Adel Fakhrou, on Sunday in Manama.
According to a statement from the ministry, this meeting occurred on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council (CESA) in preparation for the 33rd ordinary session of the Arab Summit scheduled for next Thursday.
During the meeting, Minister Zitouni highlighted the investment opportunities in Algeria and the benefits provided by the new investment code to foreign investors. He stressed that Algeria encourages investment and trade exchanges between the two Arab countries.
Mr. Ben Adel expressed that several Bahraini companies are keen on investing in various sectors in Algeria, including the food industry, pharmaceutical production, petrochemical industries, and communications.
“The two parties agreed to activate the joint commission between the two countries to assess partnership opportunities,” the statement concluded.
