Belarus Aims to Strengthen Cooperation with Algeria, Says Foreign Minister

ALGIERS- Sergei Aleinik, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, has expressed Belarus’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with Algeria. Following his meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Aleinik confirmed on Sunday that he conveyed a message from the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, aimed at invigorating the robust ties between the two nations.
The discussions during the audience with President Tebboune provided an opportunity to comprehensively review the existing bilateral relations. Aleinik highlighted that various issues related to cooperation were deliberated upon, spanning across multiple sectors, such as industry, agriculture, food security, and culture. Additionally, both parties explored strategies to further enhance and diversify this cooperation in the future.
One of the significant outcomes of the meeting was the agreement to convene the inaugural summit between Algeria and Belarus. This summit is poised to pave the way for deeper collaboration, particularly in the fields of tourism and education. By fostering partnerships in these key sectors, both countries aim to capitalize on mutual strengths and opportunities for socio-economic development.
Moreover, Aleinik emphasized that the discussions extended to encompass international issues of common interest. The importance of supporting the efforts of all international organizations towards establishing a multipolar world was underscored. This reflects a shared commitment to promoting global stability, peace, and cooperation in line with the principles of sovereignty and mutual respect.
