Bellat Group…Decades of Dedication to Quality, Innovation, and National Development

In 1970, SARL CVA Bellat emerged as a trailblazer in the Algerian meat industry. Specializing in the production and commercialization of meat products such as cachirs, smoked roasts, and pâtés, Bellat played a pivotal role in modernizing a traditionally rooted sector. With support from government investment incentives, the group expanded its footprint by establishing four additional units, including margarine production, corned-beef and ready-made meals, a poultry slaughterhouse, and a poultry farm.

Evolution and Expansion: Today, SARL CVA Bellat stands as a prominent player in the national agro-food market, continuously striving to enhance product quality and build consumer trust. A comprehensive quality plan has been implemented to establish a food safety management system adhering to international standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and ISO 14000.

One significant milestone in this journey was the establishment of a state-of-the-art meat products factory in Tessala-El-Merdja, replacing the older facility in Eucalyptus. This modern unit, operational since the first half of 2012, boasts advanced production methods and processes.

In pursuit of better integration, Bellat Group also initiated a poultry farm to ensure a sustainable supply chain for its units, particularly for white meats.

Founder’s Vision: In a heartfelt letter from the founder, the transformation of dreams into reality is celebrated. The founder expresses gratitude to partners, public and private enterprises, both nationally and internationally, for their trust. The commitment is reiterated to utilize the group’s capabilities to earn the complete trust of consumers.

The Group’s Portfolio: What was once a dream has evolved into reality, and over the years, the Bellat Group has grown exponentially through sustained and unwavering investment. The group’s diverse portfolio includes:

  4. Poultry slaughterhouse in Meftah.
  5. Production unit for ready-made meals and corned-beef in Meftah.

Goals and Vision: Bellat Group’s future interests lie in the continuous development and satisfaction of both national and international market demands. The group aspires to maintain leadership through the quality of its products, rivalling international counterparts.

A significant future goal is to lead Algeria to self-sufficiency in white meat production. The group’s relentless investment and job creation initiatives, coupled with a commitment to quality, have solidified its status as a major and innovative player in Algeria.
