Aligned with its product development policy, the Bellat production and development team embarked on a transformative journey across Germany and Austria, unraveling the intricacies of global cooked meat production to develop new and enticing products that resonate with consumer desires.
The initial destination of this culinary exploration was Bavaria, Germany, renowned for its leadership in spice blends. Here, the Bellat team engaged with a seasoned partner boasting a century-long legacy in the field, actively contributing to graduate programs in cooked meat production for major international universities. Welcomed by big companies’ CEOs, the Bellat team received insights into cutting-edge production methods and the latest state-of-the-art equipment that had recently been commissioned. A strategic decision was made to acquire this modern production equipment and inputs, setting the stage for the launch of distinctive products slated for release in the first quarter of 2024.
Following this enlightening experience in Germany, the production and development team from Bellat Group set their sights on Austria. Here, discussions unfolded around novel recipes tailored to captivate the taste buds of the Algerian consumer. The team delved into exploring new production lines and the latest flavors designed for international markets, spurred by significant orders received by the Balat Complex from at least five countries. Equipped with versatile production lines, the complex is poised not only to fulfill local orders but also to cater to the specific preferences of international customers, both in terms of sizes and flavors.
Bellat Group, aspiring to expand its global footprint, aims to bolster its exports, which amounted to an impressive three million dollars in the previous year. The strategic acquisition of new production equipment and the introduction of innovative flavors underscore Bellat’s unwavering commitment to culinary excellence, ensuring a delectable and diverse range of products for consumers both at home and abroad.

In 1970, SARL CVA Bellat emerged as a trailblazer in the Algerian meat industry. Specializing in the production and commercialization of meat products such as cachirs, smoked roasts, and pâtés, Bellat played a pivotal role in modernizing a traditionally rooted sector. With support from government investment incentives, the group expanded its footprint by establishing four additional units, including margarine production, corned-beef and ready-made meals, a poultry slaughterhouse, and a poultry farm.
Evolution and Expansion: Today, SARL CVA Bellat stands as a prominent player in the national agro-food market, continuously striving to enhance product quality and build consumer trust. A comprehensive quality plan has been implemented to establish a food safety management system adhering to international standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and ISO 14000.
One significant milestone in this journey was the establishment of a state-of-the-art meat products factory in Tessala-El-Merdja, replacing the older facility in Eucalyptus. This modern unit, operational since the first half of 2012, boasts advanced production methods and processes.
In pursuit of better integration, Bellat Group also initiated a poultry farm to ensure a sustainable supply chain for its units, particularly for white meats.
