ALGIERS- In a statement to Dzair Tube, Mourad Mellah, the General Manager of Algeria’s Bellat Meat Processing Company, revealed that the group’s involvement in the discounts initiative launched by the Algerian Economic Renewal Council reflects its values over five decades of presence.
Mellah added, “We firmly believe that Ramadan, with its symbolism and sanctity, is not a month for profit at the expense of people’s needs. It is a season to express our respect, appreciation, loyalty, and support for anything that can contribute positively to Algerian families.”
He further stated, “We are committed to reducing our prices by up to 10 percent, and Bellat Group has not only reduced prices but has also prepared through its national distribution network to ensure that Algerian consumers fully benefit from these discounts.”
“Our reduction measures have also extended to the Ampdor factory, the largest corn starch conversion factory in Algeria, which is a key ingredient in many food products,” he continued.
Our source also emphasized that this step was taken to assist other economic operators in reducing their prices as well, in service to the nation and its citizens.
Mellah concluded by saying, “This is how every national institution should be, and we thank the Ministers of Communication and Trade who attended this event.”
